Email Account Setup
Set up email boxes through a wizard-style interface in your VDS Manager.
- Go to your VDS Manager (http://yourdomain.com/manager/) and click on the Email/FTP tab.
- Click the New Email/FTP button.
- In the popup window, enter the following information:
Username - Enter a username for the account. This will become the first part of the email address. For example, if your username is jimmy, your email address will be
jimmy@yourdomain.com.
Note:
Your hosting package has a preestablished email/FTP account with the username for your hosting account. This account does not count against your total number of allowed
email/FTP accounts. You cannot create another email or FTP account using the username for your hosting account.
Account Description - Enter the name that people will see by default when they receive an email from the account.
New Password - Enter a password for the account.
Retype Password - Retype the password exactly.
- Click the Next button.
- Enter the following information:
Enable Email - Check this box to enable email for the user.
Mail Quota (MB) - Enter a limit in MB that the email box will hold. Enter 0 (zero) for unlimited.
Enable FTP - Check this box if you want this user to have an FTP account.
FTP Quota (MB) - Enter a limit in MB that this user will be allocated for FTP. Enter 0 (zero) for unlimited.
- Click the Finish button.
